On Feb 27, 2026, NASA rewrote the mission.
No longer the first lunar landing, Artemis III is now a 30-day Earth-orbit flight validating Orion/SLS rendezvous and docking with SpaceX’s Starship and Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers.
The landing shifts to Artemis IV/V in 2028.
